Company Director – Jaynie Powsney

J Star Academy of Performing Arts was set up and developed with your child’s needs in mind. Jaynie Powsney has had vast experience working with, and teaching young children ranging from ages 0 - teens.

She herself attended various Performing Arts schools since the early age of 4 and went on to study for a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Bury College gaining distinctions. She then went on to gain further distinctions after studying for an HND in Media Performance at Salford University.

Jaynie has performed in shows at venues that include The Met Theatre - Bury, The Royal Exchange Theatre – Manchester, and the Palace Theatre – Manchester. Jaynie has been a regular on the pubs and clubs scene as a professional singer since 2007. She now enjoys writing her own songs, and hopes to pass her creativity skills onto your children.
